Reynolds Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of Mr. Roger Lee Jones Jr. 20 of Decatur, Alabama who died on June 4, 2020 in Valhermoso Springs, Alabama . Graveside Service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Sterrs Cemetery, with the Reverend George Allen, Jr., officiating. Public viewing will be Thursday 11:00 am - 5:00l pm.

Roger Lee Jones, Jr. was born on May 8, 2000 to Carolyn Holden Jackson and Roger Lee Jones, Sr. in Decatur, AL. He departed this life on June 4, 2020 in Valhermoso Springs, AL.

Roger attended Decatur High School. Everyone that knew Roger, knew that he loved his family and friends, and was crazy about his children. Roger was a fun, loving, caring person with a great sense of humor and a smile that would brighten anyone’s day. He was affectionately known as “Lil Roger” and was given the name “Sweetie” by his great grandmother.

Roger was preceded in death by his loving mother; his great grandparents, Willie and Mary Harris, Edgar and Lizzie Mae Milam.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two children, Jeremiah and Jaidyn Jones of Decatur, AL; his father, Roger Jones, Jr of Decatur; loving and devoted grandparents, William Thomas and Carrie Mae Holden of Decatur, St. Clair and Pearlean Jones of Flint, AL; three sisters, Charlandria Jackson of Decatur and India Rodgers and Tierra Brown of Huntsville, AL; three brothers, Kendrick Jackson and Ron Jones of Decatur and Roderick Brown (Sequoyah) of Moulton; three aunts, Linda Allen (James) and Kasandra Holden and Carol Jones all of Decatur; a great aunt, Lois Brown (Jimmy) of Decatur; five uncles, William F. Holden, Larry and Dwight Jones, all of Decatur, Donell Jones of Mobile, AL and Tommy Lee Jones of Huntsville, AL; five nieces, Ariyon and Azariyel Evans, Aireeana Jones, Princess Nelson and Justice Rogers; four nephews, Jordan Rogers, Kniamyh, Decarlo and Xavier Brown; a devoted cousin, Angela Douglas; a special friend, Casie Jones; two childhood friends, Tyles Caldwell and Gabe Givens; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
