A Celebration of Life for Roland Claude Caldwell, 65, of Decatur, AL will be 11AM Saturday at Priceville Church of Christ.
Mr. Caldwell peacefully passed away on December 18, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving wife Rosa Quiroz-Rios and service dog Bruno. Born to Esther Modine Caldwell and William Claude Caldwell, Claude was raised in Columbia, South Carolina.
He graduated from Lower Richland High School and went on to earn his Electrical Engineering degree from Midlands Technical College. He worked for multiple national food manufacturing companies around the southeast serving in various plant engineering roles. He retired from work in this industry 5 years ago. Prior to working in the food industry, he lived his dream of working with various well-known rock and roll bands in various sound and set up roles, traveling the world and enjoying the music and adventure that came with it. He had an avid love of rock music.
He is survived by his wife, Rosa, of 10 years, his son, Matthew (Samantha) Caldwell, his daughter Sherrie (Damon) Peoples and his grandchildren: Allison and Emmalee Caldwell, Kierra and Aiden Peoples and stepdaughter: Maria A. Mayfield, his brother Bill (Teresa) Caldwell and his sister Brenda (Glenn) Taylor.
The family will be having a celebration of life service that will be announced at a later date.
