Obituary

Graveside Service for of Mr. Roy Lee Thomas Jr. 53 of Decatur will be 1:00 pm Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Decatur City Cemetery the Reverend Fred Ashford officiating. Public viewing will be Saturday from noon till 5:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Roy Lee Thomas Jr was born to Mr. Roy Lee Thomas Sr. and Mrs. Gloria Marie Thomas.                   

Roy Jr affectionate known as "Bae-Bae" received Christ at an early age He was educated in the Saginaw Michigan public school system.

Employed by Wayne Farms. Roy Jr was a fun-loving person that people always wanted to be around. "Bae-Bae” was kind, and had a soft-hearted spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Roy Lee Thomas Sr. and Mrs. Gloria Marie Thomas; and a sister, Linda Tyler. He was also preceded in death by many loving relatives.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of seven years, Mrs. Felecia Thomas;  stepmother, Mrs. Mary Ann Thomas; son,  Mario Gilyard; daughter, Chatori Laury; stepchildren; Whitney Ashford, Travia Ashford, Shontavia Edwards, Jonathan Hill; grandchildren, Haydon Brown, Nova Scott, Layla Castilla; sisters, Brenda Simmons, Alma Sanders, Casandra Darby, Delphine Layton and Terria Barnes; brothers, Terrance McWright and Derrick Latham; four aunts, Bonnie Nickerson, JoAnn Burks, Jaunita Watts and Jackie Watts; brother-in-law, Eric (Carol) Ashford; uncle, Albert Watts; three nieces, She'mia Sanders, Octavia Darby and Chynal Brown; a very special niece, Kamekia Thomas. Roy Jr "Bae-Bae " was loved by many. He will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
