A Celebration of Life for Mr. Rudolph V. Stevenson, Jr., 68 of Hartselle, Alabama will be noon Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Westside Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Patrick Franklin officiating. Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral service. Public viewing will be Monday from 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Rudolph Valentino Stevenson, Jr. was born April 6, 1955 in Decatur, Alabama to the late Rudolph Valentino Stevenson, Sr. and Lorene Garth Stevenson. He departed this life on August 1, 2023 at his residence in Hartselle, Alabama surrounded by his family.
Rudolph confessed hope in Christ at an early age. Later in life, on August 18, 2013, he joined Sand Hill Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Shelton Cotner, Jr.
Rudolph was educated in the Decatur City Schools System. He furthered his education by receiving an Auto Body Repair degree in 1980 from Calhoun Community College. He also served honorably in the United States Army.
Rudolph was joined in Holy Matrimony to Pamela Bell Stevenson on May 18, 2001.
Rudolph loved his family and enjoyed having fun. He treated everyone with love and respect. His family and friends can easily say that their lives have never been the same because they had the privilege of knowing and loving Rudolph.
Rudolph was preceded in death by: his parents, two sisters; Pearline Rice and Ollie B. Cohn; one brother, Willie Lee Stevenson; and two nephews, Travis Cohn Jr. and Dennis Earl Cohn.
Rudolph leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Pamela Stevenson; one son, Demetrius Laron Lampkin (Adrian); two daughters, Kamelia Lynette Warren and Natasha Marie McClain (Myke); one brother, Ira Lee Stevenson (Georgia); four sisters, Wanda Kay Stevenson, Patricia Ann Stevenson, Janice M. Randolph, and Betty Troupe; 11 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; A special grandson, Demarco Cunningham; several loving nieces and nephews; three special nieces; Tracy Clemons (Darrin), Shontez Wynn (Corey), and Tia Stevenson (Mark Evans); one brother in law, John Bell (Nancy); one sister in law, Angela Williams (Richard); two special friends, Larry Wade and Bobby Payne and a host of other relatives and friend
