Savannah Georgia (" JuneBug") Martin

Funeral Service for Ms. Savannah Martin,84, of Decatur, AL will be 12:30PM Saturday at Macedonia C.P. Church in America the Rev. Edward Martin Officiating, Dr. Lynne G. Herring Host Pastor. Inhumation will follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service.

Public viewing will be Friday from 1:00PM until 5:30PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Savannah Georgia Martin was born on November 24, 1940, in Stephenson, Alabama, to the late Rosie Lee Allen and Clarence Martin. She was the fourth of eight children born to Rosie Lee. She attended Lakeside High School in Decatur, Alabama. She worked as a private home operator and apartment manager for Jean Lintz, Norman Albright, and Margaret Hamilton.

She was baptized under the late Reverend Boy Stone of Union Grove PB Church, where she acted as a leader of the kitchen committee, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and on the mother board. She was a faithful member until her passing on March 24, 2025.

Savannah was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Lee Allen; father, Clarence Martin; and siblings, Leticia Tatum, Mary Wallace, and Reverend Robert Smith.

She is survived by her siblings, Willie Jean Elliott (Franklin), Edward Martin (Karen), James Martin (Janet), and Bobby Allen (Jesse); children, Wanda Martin, Kimberly Saafiyah, Stanley Martin, and Rodney Hullett (Teresa); stepsons, Charles Hullett (Linda) and Jeff Smart (Sharon); grandchildren, Yomeka Martin, Jowharah Wynn (Shawney), Jamilah Horton, Danny Saafiyah (Shanice), Kimbulyn Chandler, Aneesah Lige (Jeff ), Rodney Hullett, Jr. (Queta), Stanley Martin, and Tasia Hullett; 17 great- grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends, including special friends, Ms. Jesse Chairs and the late Sallie Mae Orr.
