Graveside services for Mrs. Tabitha Lynette Elliott McLaurin, 53 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon, Wednesday March 16, 2022 at Calvary Memorial Gardens with Bishop Daniel Richardson officiating. At the request of the family, there will be no public viewing for Mrs. McLaurin. Family Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm, at Reynolds Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
Tabitha Lynette Elliott McLaurin was born November 22, 1968 in Decatur, Alabama to Franklin and Jeannie Martin Elliott.
Tabitha accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church of Decatur, Alabama. Minister McLaurin accepted her calling into the ministry while a member of Victory Christian Center under the covering of the late Bishop Carter Videau.
She graduated from Austin High School Class of 1987 where she was a member of both the concert and marching band. Tabitha continued her Education at Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama and was also a member of The Marching Hornet Band.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Randolph McLaurin in 2004 and shared 17 happy and memorable years together.
Tabitha was employed as a Customer Service Manager at Buds Warehouse and Walmart for nine years. She then worked for Decatur City Schools in the Special Education Department at Brookhaven Middle, Cedar Ridge Middle, Leon Sheffield, Julian Harris, Eastwood Elementary and Decatur High Developmental for a total of 13 years until her retirement in 2017.
At 10:00 PM on March 9, 2022 at Parkway Medical Center, her journey on this earth came to an end as her Heavenly Father called her home.
Her Fight was Over. SHE WON!
She is preceded in death by: her daughter, Bryuanna Marshall; grandparents, Clarence Martin (Rosie Lee Allen) and Charles Elliott (Maggie Elliott); sister-in-law, Alicia Vance-Elliott; uncles, Robert Smith, Dewayne Elliott and Sonnie Hill; aunts, Mary Wallace, Luticia Tatum and Bonnie Hill.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Randolph McLaurin; son, Arsenio Elliott (Ciara); Stepdaughter, Kamora Pointer; parents, Franklin and Jeannie Elliott; brother, Jeremy Elliott (Candice); granddaughter Baileigh Elliott; goddaughter, Jwaneca Miller; special relative, Rodney Hullett and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family and friends
