A Celebration of Life for Ms. Teketa Nicole Allen, 38 of Madison, Alabama will be 1:00 PM Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with the Reverend Mitchell Cowley officiating. Inhumation will follow in Hartselle Memory Gardens. The body lie in repose one hour prior to service at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home with Reynolds Funeral Home directing. Public viewing will be Saturday from 1:00 pm till 6:00 PM at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Teketa Nicole Allen was born on august 25, 1983, in Morgan County to Robert Rydell Allen and Barrie Gaines Sharpley. She departed this life on Thursday, June 16, 2022, in Panama City Beach, Florida.
Teketa, or as we all know her, “Kole”, was baptized at an early age and joined St. John missionary Baptist church in Somerville, Alabama. She attended Hartselle high school and Tennessee state university, where she attained a bachelor of science degree in business management. She later attended Breckinridge school of nursing and received her registered nursing degree in 2016.
Teketa loved her family, especially her daughter Karter Monroe Allen, her mother, and father. There was nothing that she would not do for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Sam and Juanita Gaines and Robert Lee Allen.
Teketa leaves to cherish her memory: a loving daughter, Karter Monroe Allen; devoted mother, Barrie Gaines-Sharpley (Tommy) of Hartselle; father Robert Rydell Allen (Jaye) of Hartselle; brother, Cody Allen, Hartselle; stepbrother, Miguel Valatin of Hartselle; stepsister, Chiquita Valatin of Decatur; sister, Tajwana Johnson (Monte) of Madison; a devoted grandmother, Mrs. Christine Allen (Nene); aunts, Jerri Allen of Hartselle, Faye Morris (James) of Hartselle, Pam Allen of Huntsville and Sharon Jones Ash of Decatur; uncles, Chester Tolbert (Juanita) from Chicago, IL, Darrell Lee Allen of Dec; nephew, Deaigo Valatin of Hartselle; and a host of nieces, other nephews, special relatives, cousins and friends.
