Funeral Service for Mr. Troy Anthony Elliott Jr., 26, of Decatur, AL will be noon Monday at Macedonia C.P. Church in America with the Rev. Dr. Gloria L. Herring officiating. Inhumation will follow in Decatur City Cemetery. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to service.
Public viewing will be Sunday from 1:00PM until 4:00PM at Reynolds Funeral Home. Mr. Elliott transitioned on December 25, 2024, at Huntsville, Alabama.
TROY ANTHONY ELLIOTT, JR., was born on February 12, 1998, to Troy Elliott, Sr., and Coretta Carroll-Elliott in Decatur, Alabama. He gained his wings on December 25, 2024 in Huntsville, AL.
Troy confessed hope in Christ at an early age joining Macedonia Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America under the leadership of Pastor Gloria Lynne Herring. He was a proud blackbear graduating from Austin High School, class of 2016. His hobbies included basketball baseball, football, soccer, and he also ran track.
He was always the life of the party no matter where he went. If you were feeling down, you could always count on Troy to brighten your day and make you laugh. He had an infectious smile that would light up a room.
Troy had three nieces and nephews who he loved with all his heart, Malia, Greyson, and Bentley. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mary Williams, Mildred Garth, Willie Williams, and William Sharpley.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved parents, Troy and Coretta Elliott; one brother, Trey Elliott; and cousin/brother Daris Moore; grandparents, Charles and Brenda Dobbins, Tommy and Josephine Elliott, and Ellis and Gladys Matthews; loving and special friend, Je’Anna Thomas; special cousins Shontal and Ashley Clay; aunt, Nakia Watkins; and a host of uncles, cousins, and friends.
