Wakeelah Na'imah Muhammad was born in Morgan County, Alabama, on October 12, 1978, to the late Charlie and Jessie Turney Muhammad. She was a 1997 graduate of Danville High School.

Wakeelah, known by everyone as “Kee Kee,” was a dutiful, kind, and loving wife and mother. She was always looking to help her family and others in need in any way she could. She treasured time with family and found joy in playing sweepstakes at which she became quite good at winning prizes. She was a loyal
Michael Jackson fan who loved his music.

She was a dedicated and beloved employee at People’s Bank of Alabama, where she worked as a teller for 14 years.

She was preceded in death by her son, Omar Fowler; parents, Jessie Turney Muhammad and Charlie Muhammad; and brothers, Calvin Muhammad and Fred Byars.

She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Chris Fowler; daughter, Aaliyah Fowler; oldest son, Dontay Muhammad; grandson, Khalyx Muhammad; two sisters, Latosha Henderson and Quantina Caldwell; brothers, James Muhammad, all of Hartselle and Anthony Byars (Sherma) of Atlanta, GA; mother and father-in- law, William and Virgie Fowler; brother-in-law, Nathaniel Fowler, all of Danville; sister-in-law, Felisha Taylor of Meridianville; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
