William Zarak Laws

Mr. William Laws, 66, of Decatur, Alabama was born January 6, 1958, in Champaign, Illinois to the late William and Georgia Mae Johnson Laws.  Mr. Laws transitioned November 19, 2024, at his residence.

William attended Champaign City Schools, and was employed at the Railyard in Champaign, Illinois for many years. Later Mr. Laws relocated to Decatur, Alabama. 

Mr. Laws was preceded in death by his parents, his son William Laws Jr, and a daughter, Zarra Laws Strickland.

He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Kelly Petticrew Laws of Champaign Il; his daughter, Tanoka Laws Nance of Decatur, AL; his son,  Vance Laws of Danville, Il and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren; cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
