Funeral Service for Mrs. Willie "Jeannie" Martin Elliott,78 of Decatur, AL will be noon Saturday at Kings Memorial UMC Church with the Reverend Roderick Stallworth Officiating, and the Reverend Edward Martin Sr. Eulogist. Inhumation will follow in Calvary Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Elliott will lie in repose one hour prior to service. 

Willie Jean “Jeannie" Martin Elliott was born on November 30, 1947, in Decatur, AL, to the late Rosie Lee Allen and Clarence Martin. She passed away peacefully on May 27, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital.

She graduated from Lakeside High School and attended Drake Community College.

She united in holy matrimony to Franklin Elliott on March 21, 1969, in Decatur, AL, and to this union, two children were born, Tabitha MeLaurin and Jeremy Elliott.

She was baptized at an early age at Oakland United Methodist Church. She later joined King's Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a lay and worship leader. She had a passion for children. In her later years, she joined First United Methodist Church where she remained until her death.

She was employed at Walmart for several years as a Department Manager.

Those who will forever cherish her memory are her husband, the Reverend Franklin Elliott; son, Bishop Jeremy (Candice) Elliott; grandchildren, Arsenio Elliott, Kiaron Vance, Malia Elliott, and Faith Elliott; great-grandchildren, Nailia Thomas, Kashmir Alexander Elliott, Naiari Thomas, and Chloe Vance; siblings, Edward (Karen) Martin, James (Janet) Martin, and Bobby (Jessie) Allen; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death her daughter, Tabitha McLaurin; granddaughter, Bryuanna Marshall; mother, Rosie Lee Allen; father, Clarence Martin; and siblings, Lutitia Tatum, Mary Wallace, the Reverend Robert Smith and Savannah Martin.
