Family Visitation for Mrs. Yolanda Allen, 64, of Decatur, Alabama will be Monday, January 22, 2024 at Reynolds Funeral Home from 3:00 pm till 5:00 pm. Public viewing will be from 1:00PM until 3:00 in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel.
Yolanda Fay Allen, a beloved, mother, grandmother, and pillar among her family, passed away at her residence in Decatur, Alabama on January 12, 2024, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and boundless generosity.
Born on November 11, 1959, in Gary, Indiana to the late Julia(Burnett) Sangster and Oscar Sangster. Yolanda was a loving and caring woman who cherished her family, extended family and friends and always had a special place in her heart for herpets who she affectionately referred to as her “four-leggedfamily”.
In keeping up with her love of animals, she volunteered at Animal Tracks Veterinary Hospital, where she also shared a close friendship with her co-workers.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward Allen Jr., her daughter Letitia Fay Greenlaw and sister Brenda Joyce Burnett.
She leaves to cherish in her loving memory, her children, Reginald Sanders Jr., Kenneth Sanders Sr., Julia (James) Gary, Jamese Harrison (Brian Meredith), Brenda Jefferson-Allen, Kenneth Sanders-Allen; Grandchildren, Anesah Brazier, Destiney Sanders, Tylynd Sanders, Kendall Sanders, Kenneth Sanders III, Markayla Sanders, Vanessa Sanders, Amariah Sanders, Keniya Sanders, Kynessesy Ivory, Angela Sanders, Kendrix Sanders, Kynndriana Sanders and Kentrayl Sanders; Great grandchildren, Dior Moffett, Kamari Sanders and AcynBrazier; goddaughter Resheka Ashford, and special friend Dr. Amanda Parker who all brought her an abundance of love,laughter and happiness.
As we say our goodbyes, let us celebrate Yolanda's remarkable life, a life filled with love, laughter, and an enduring commitment to family and friends. She may be gone from our sight, but she will never be absent from our hearts.
