Graveside Service for Mr. Zachary Clay Smith, 30 of Decatur, Alabama will be noon Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Calvary Memorial Gardens with Bishop Don Hurth officiating. Public viewing will be Wednesday from 1:00 pm till 6:00 pm at Reynolds Funeral Home.
Zachary was born July 30, 1990 in Decatur, Alabama to Henry Clay Smith Jr. and Evie Janet Hurth Robinson. He departed this life on February 27, 2021 at Decatur Morgan Hospital in Decatur, Alabama.
Zach accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Nation Harvest Church where he loved the church and was a charter member under the leadership of his uncle, Bishop Don A. Hurth.
Zach was educated in the Decatur City School System and attended Austin High School. He was a member of the George W. Braxdall Lodge Number 28 Masonic Lodge.
Zach was a quiet, compassionate person. He had a love for music and was also a barber. He will be thoroughly missed by all that knew him.
He was married to Sarah Robinson and was blessed with three children: Tristan Stover, Jayden Stover and Adrianna Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mrs. Louella Tucker Hurth Pointer.
He leaves to cherish his love and memory: wife, Sarah R. Smith; children, Tristan, Jayden and Adrianna; his mother, Evie Janet Robinson all of Decatur; father, Henry C. Smith Jr. of Birmingham; sister, Levita Robinson Balentine (Benjamin) of Decatur; two aunts, four uncles; father-in-law, Mark Robinson of Hackensack, NJ; mother-in-law, Sharon (Tim) Sullivan of Hartselle; two nephews, Zykiah Donaldson and Sharmar Balentine; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be William and George Patterson, Paris Donaldson, Jamari Orr, Kenyan and Ras Hurth.
