Duane M. McCarty, age 68, died August 29th, 2015 at Huntsville Hospital due to injuries from a motorcycle accident in July.

Mr. McCarty is survived by his mother, Ethel McCarty, and his 3 daughters; Rachel Dunhoff, Jenifer Groeling and Alison Munger. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren; Trevor Dunhoff, Madeline Dunhoff and Jack Dunhoff from his daughter Rachel, and Ashley Munger, Taylor Munger and Brooke Munger from his daughter Alison.

Duane was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he was a Sergeant in the Air Force.
He worked for many years in the coal mines in Wyoming, before having a long standing career at General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin and United Launch Alliance working in their rocket division. His heart was in riding motorcycles, and supporting veterans with his Combat Vet Association.

Memorial service for Duane M. McCarty will be held at the Reynolds Funeral Home, Saturday, Sept. 5th at 1pm.
