Mrs. Ezella Spears, 94 of Hillsboro, Alabama died Friday, April 29, 2016 at NHC Healthcare, Moulton, Alabama. Funeral will be noon Thursday at Canaan M.B. Church with the Reverend Ronald L. Merriweather, Pastor officiating.  Inhumation will follow in Foster-Davis Cemetery.  The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Tuesday from 2-7 and Wednesday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Ezella Watkins Spears was born March 27, 1922 to the late Ora Lee Foster and Willie Major Campbell in Hillsboro, Alabama.  She departed this life on April 29, 2016 at NHC Care in Moulton, Alabama.

She attended Flower Hill P.B. Church, as a child.  After moving to Cleveland, Ohio, she joined New Hope Baptist Church. Upon retirement, she returned to Hillsboro, where she joined Mallard Creek P.B. Church.  She later moved her membership to Canaan M.B. Church where she remained faithful until her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; stepfather, Robert Foster; her husband, John Spears; brothers, James Campbell, Ben Franklin Campbell and Willie Ervin Campbell; brother-in-law, Irvin Pruitt.

She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, Leo Campbell; one sister, Vera Pruitt; one sister-in-law, Annie Odell Campbell and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
