Henry Cohen, III, age 75, of North Chicago, Illinois passed away on Wednesday March 22, 2017 at GlenLake Terrace Nursing Home, Waukegan, IL. Henry was born on October 24, 1941 in Decatur, Alabama and has lived in North Chicago, Illinois for the past 34 years. He worked at Abbott Laboratories for 17 years before retiring due to poor health. Henry served in the U.S. Army for 4 years after graduating from Lakeside High School in Alabama. Henry worked and lived in California and Louisiana before coming to Illinois. He enjoyed music and people wherever he lived.

He was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Jessie Cohn along with 2 brothers, Hosley Berry, Travis Cohn and 4 sisters, Jessie P. Reeves, Martha A. Hall, Grace E. Jones and Doris Cohn. He will be missed.

He is survived by his children, Deirdretee Cohen, Carla Cohen Scott, Christopher Cohen and Henry Cohen IV and their mother Zora (Bell) Cohen along with numerous grandchildren. Henry is also survived by his sister Eva Lovelace and brother Jimmy (Sherry) Cohn and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 27, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Reynolds Funeral Home with inhumation to follow in Trinity Mountain Cemetery. Public viewing will be Sunday from 2-6 at the funeral home.
