A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Agnes Olivia Holyfield Fuqua, 65 of Decatur, Alabama will be 11:00 am, Saturday at Newcomb Street Church of Christ and inhumation to follow in Calvary Memorial Gardens. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral.  Public viewing will be Friday from 10-7 at the funeral home.   

Mrs. Agnes Holyfield Fuqua was born on February 26, 1951, in Decatur, Alabama, to the late David Holyfield, Sr. and Nellie Mae Holyfield.

She confessed Christ at an early age and united with Newcomb Street Church of Christ.  Agnes completed her primary and secondary education in the Decatur City School System where she was very active in volleyball and softball. She liked all sports especially roller skating and basketball. She graduated from Lakeside High School in 1969.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Fuqua; her father, David Holyfield, Sr.; two sisters, Barbara Ann Burton and Kathy Holyfield.

Agnes leaves to cherish her memory: a son, Paxton Holyfield (Michelle) of Cleveland, TN; three daughters, Latonya Fuqua Hamilton (Carnell), Rachelle Fuqua and Regina Fuqua all of Decatur; a loving mother, Nellie Mae Holyfield; four brothers, David Holyfield, Jr., Christopher Holyfield, Rickey Bates and Jerald Langford; eight sisters, Vivian Holyfield, Helen Holyfield, Nita McGee, Joyce Taylor, Peggie Langford, Evelyn Rice (Jerry), Abby Bates and Monica Strong (Johnny) all of Decatur; aunts, Ollie Surles and Bernice Bates; uncles, Bill Jefferson of Orlando, FL and Charlie Bates of Decatur; ten grandchildren, Tynesha Palmer (Ralph), Michael Holyfield, Darrius Sherrod, Shanequia Little, Tyra Little, Olivia Davis, Edward White, Keyana Fuqua, Mark McGuire, Jr., and Ramell Fuqua; two great grandchildren, Aliviah Williams and Aiyana Brown.

Pallbearers will be: Paxton Holyfield, Michael Holyfield, James Burton, Ralph Palmer and Ricky Bates. Flower Bearers will be: Monica Strong, Abigale Bates, Warvette Moman and Curtrisa Seale.
